01 / on your wrist
See the hour.
Real watch-face states, real controls and the low-battery payoff—all laid out together.
-
See elapsed and remaining time together. -
The fighter launches from the present moment. -
Remaining time disappears minute by minute. -
Time, steps, battery and date—that’s it. -
Control motion and CRT separately. -
Low battery? INSERT COIN.
02 / time you can see
The hour has a shape.
Four horizontal bars show the current four-hour block, while ten-minute cells add detail to the active hour.
Red shows what’s gone. Green shows what remains. At the line between them, a tiny fighter winds up and fires into the time ahead, blasting it away minute by minute.
The exact digital time appears below by default and can be hidden when you want the bars to stand on their own.
03 / minimal on purpose
No dashboard to build.
No complication slots to arrange. Four fixed readouts keep the useful things exactly where you expect them.
- TIME
- Optional exact digital time in Device, 12-hour or 24-hour format.
- 1UP
- The step count supplied by your watch.
- CREDIT
- Battery percentage. At 10% or less, it becomes INSERT COIN.
- ROUND
- The current day of the month.
04 / retro your way
Four simple controls.
Keep the retro character while choosing the time display, movement and texture you want.
- MOTIONAnimate the fighter and the low-battery INSERT COIN warning, or switch them off.
- CRTAdd or remove the classic scanline look.
- TIMEFollow your device, or choose a 12-hour or 24-hour override.
- CLOCKShow or hide the boxed exact-time readout.
Always-on ambient mode stays static, dimmed and CRT-free while respecting your selected time format and digital-clock visibility.
05 / why give time a shape?
Inspired by lived experience. Informed by research.
Stamina began with lived ADHD experience and a simple idea: elapsed and remaining time may feel easier to grasp when both stay visible.
A 2024 systematic review and meta-analysis found measurable group-level differences on time-perception tasks in ADHD. That research does not prove Stamina helps with time blindness, but it helped inspire a design that makes the passing hour visible.
In controlled smartwatch progress-reading tasks, visual displays were read faster and more accurately than percentage text. Linear bars also showed a small efficiency advantage over radial displays, while radial displays were preferred for appearance.
Neither study tested Stamina. This specific watch face has not been clinically tested.
06 / your data stays on your watch
Useful information. No surveillance.
Time, steps, battery and date are read locally from Wear OS. The watch face has no account, advertising, analytics or network service.
